Life Cycle Inventories
These days we are all keen to understand the impact that purchasing choices have on the environment. In many cases, life cycle inventories of products are being produced and assessments done on this basis. It is essential that such assesments are done in a robust manner, using high quality data from reliable sources.
In general, there is no point in looking at the life cycle inventory of a single process, such as coil coating, but instead it is the impacts embodied in the product that are important. For this reason, we have teamed up with the World Steel Association to provide standardised life cycle inventory data on organic coated (prepainted) steel. Since each life cycle assessment is different, it is important that you use the right data. So, to access this LCI data, please visit the World Steel Association website and complete a small enquiry form, following which you will be sent the relevant data.
